Bilingual Education for Deaf Students

     This 6-day workshop is part of the capacity-building initiative of Center for Education Access and Development to improve knowledge and teaching skills of educators of the Deaf, and also part of the Literacy course of the Teacher Education Institute (TEI).

DAY 1

     Resource speakers for the said workshop are Nora Shannon, Erin Esposito, and Susan Lane-Outlaw from the National Technical Institute for the Deaf – Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY.

 There are around 20 participants coming from SDEAS, La Salle University- Ozamiz School for the Deaf, School for the Deaf in Iligan housed at La Salle Academy Iligan, and our very own La Salle Green Hills Adult Night High School.

 The said training was made possible through the support of the Pre-College Education Network and Nippon Foundation.

   This series of workshops will leave participants with a fully-realized unit plan that they will be able to use in their classrooms.
