Medical-Dental Mission Conducted

Guadalupe - Some local dwellers of the Laperal compound Barangay Viejo were the beneficiaries of the recent medical and dental mission jointly initiated by the 5th Year Students and the ANHS Faculty.

Of the beneficiaries, many were provided with medical services such as consultation and free medicines, though many waited for a dental services mostly on tooth extraction. The PDL's Deaf students provided free back and hand to some of the residents.

The ANHS BEC provided the medical doctors who are acquaintances and friends of the night school faculty and sponsors for medicines.

ANHS Bingo Night

Faculty Bingo Social is an annual event sponsored by the ANHS Faculty in La Salle. The teachers, along with other dedicated volunteers, gathered at the St. Benilde Gym Cafeteria  for this . Students and visitors support  this exciting moment when they could yell, "Bingo!" Winners claim  their prize from a committee overflowing with prizes. All of the students ended the evening with smiles (specially the winners) and a handful of door prizes. 

ANHS Celebrates Deaf Week

   La Salle Green Hills celebrated the 8th ANHS Deaf Week last November 8-11 with several events/activities designed to increase awareness of the diverse students who attend the Adult Night High School.

   The ANHS Deaf Week is a week-long celebration of Deaf individuals with the ANHS community. It is an opportunity for the Deaf to celebrate their community, language, culture and history; make the LSGH community aware and recognize their achievements; it is also an opportunity for other organizations involved with, or wishing to be involved with the Deaf community to showcase their talents and/or outputs; build / maintain relationships with Deaf people and be recognized for giving Deaf people an acceptance in school.

October 17, Friday:
   Soft launching; 

   Announcements of major contests for students to prepare and participate before the semestral break.

November 8-11:

   Viewing of the exhibits.

November 8, Tuesday:

   Formal Launching and Announcements of the week long activities; 
   Yoyo skill presentation by Jonathan S. and Know-Your-Sign contest for Hearing students; 

   Submission of Deaf Poetry Video entries by Deaf student-poets.

 November 9, Wednesday:
   Alternative Class Program on Raising a Deaf Child attended by all students with Rev. Christine S. Fabian (with her sister Grace) as our resource speaker; 

   Judging of the Deaf Poetry Video entries with Mr. Ferdinand R. Vizmanos and Miss Diana Pria B. Bañas; 

   Submission of Signed Music Video entries by Hearing students.
