LSGH celebrates centennial year



La Salle Green Hills celebrated its 100th Lasallian Presence in the country last February 10, 2012 and the school held a concert to commemorate the event. 

The Centennial Concert participated by students and faculty of the day and night high school covers the entire span of how La Salle Brothers started their mission in the Philippines from the 1900s till the present day. 

The highlights of the celebration is when students, day and night school, Deaf and Hearing show their talents in dancing, singing, acting and playing musical instruments. Accompanied by beautiful stage preparation and documentaries, the concert was applauded by audiences. Due to the big population of students, the concert were held 4 times.

February 10, 2012 - The representatives of Pre-College Education Network headed by Ms. Nora B. Shannon and Ms. Thomastine R. Sarchet - both Senior Project Associate, last friday at the Pilapil Hall La Salle Green Hills met the ANHS Teachers, Deaf students, Deaf buddies and a Sign Language Interpreter. The delegation was also accompanied by Ms. May Cabutihan - Coordinator SeCI, Mr. Raphael Domingo and Miss Christina S. Sison - Head, Office of Learning Assessment DLSU - College of St. Benilde.

The delegates interact with the faculty members of ANHS concerning their role and the SLI inside a mainstreamed class, accommodations and challenges handling deaf students, and how they motivate their Deaf students to be attentive in their class. After the short meeting with the faculty, students and a SLI enter the Pilapil Hall for a session with the representatives. Students were asked regarding the fair treatment of the teachers for both Deaf and Hearing students, how teachers communicate with them in the absence of an interpreter, and the best thing that they like about their schooling at LSGH.

At the end of the presentations and sharing, pictures were taken to the glee of all present and tokens of appreciation were given for the visitors.

PCEN Representatives Visit to LSGH ANHS


   Miss Nora B. Shannon and Miss Thomastine A. Sarchet both Senior Project Associate of the Pre-College Education Network, NTID-RIT with Mrs. Theresa Benitez-Dela Torre, Director Center for Education Access and Development, Miss May Cabutihan, Coordinator of Secondary Education initiative DLS-CSB will visit La Salle Green Hills Adult Night High School on February 10, 2012 (Friday). 

   Faculty Members, Deaf students and Deaf Buddies will have an interaction session with them in the afternoon. Letter to parents, programme, posters and others are now being prepared by the PDL staff.
