Experiencing A Legacy of Generosity
(LSVMS Student and Teacher Exchange Program)
If there was one thing I know about Rio Tuba, it is the infamous crocodile, which said to have devoured a resident along the river banks, featured on IWitness in 2011.
We, Sir Kent, Frank (SC President), Arvie (Deaf SC Representative) and I left LSGH at 4AM for our 10AM flight at NAIA Terminal 4. We had to drop off our visitors from RIT - NTID who had to catch their 6AM flight. Sleep is catching up with us when we were finally allowed to board by 9:50AM.
The four of us were sent to one of LSGH's supervised school, Leoncio S. Virata Memorial School for the first student and teacher exchange program from January 18 - 21, 2017. Our two-hour flight to Puerto Princesa was only the start of a long travel to our destination, Rio Tuba, Palawan, our only itinerary for the day was the lunch in one of the malls in Puerto Princesa, and the rest was a 6-7 hour commute (private van) to our destination.
